Celebrating Project Lead The Way Programming
Mass STEM Hub, Project Lead The Way, and WPI have formed a team that is working to support
quality implementation and expansion of PLTW in Massachusetts. This team is excited to recognize schools and individuals who have been successful in some of the key areas of quality implementation and who also actively engage in the PLTW network.

This award is given to schools who show through rosters that all of their students participate in PLTW classes. Based on roster data, 2017-18 school year.
High School Achievement Award

This award is given to Massachusetts PLTW high schools where at least 25 students earned a high enough qualifying score on a PLTW end of course assessment to unlock the potential for college credit.
AP + PLTW Recognition
- Hudson High School
- Medway High School
- Plymouth North High School
This award recognizes Massachusetts PLTW high schools where students earned the AP+ PLTW Distinction, which is awarded to students who complete an AP+ PLTW pathway. The AP+ PLTW Distinction is a new offering designed to recognize those students who have completed a mix of three PLTW and AP courses, creating a coherent program of advanced STEM coursework.

Standout PLTW Teacher of the Year
Keith Michon Jr, Matthew J. Kuss Middle School, Fall River Public Schools
The Standout Teacher award recognizes a Massachusetts Project Lead The Way teacher who stands out as a highly effective teacher in the MA PLTW community and is making a real impact for her/his students. Not only are they excellent at teaching, they also actively contribute to the MA PLTW Community and
are a teacher leader at their own school.
Rookie PLTW Teacher of the Year
Chakara Cardillo, Randolph Community Middle School, Randolph Public Schools
The Rookie PLTW Teacher award recognizes a Massachusetts Project Lead The Way teacher who is in their first 2 years of teaching PLTW and was an active member of the team with onboarding
the PLTW program. Not only are they excellent at teaching, they also actively contribute to the
MA PLTW Community.
School/District PLTW Leader of the Year
Alison Riordan, Plymouth Public Schools
The School/District PLTW Leader award recognizes an administrator who was a champion of bringing PLTW to the school/district and actively supports the PLTW program and teachers. Not only are they visionary and supportive, they also contribute to the MA PLTW Community.
